I don't have all my stuff just yet, but figured I'd post some pics of what I'll be working with. It's an old hotel fridge (courtesy of Ameristay on Lovell Rd). So far all I've done was switch out hinges on the door so it opens from the right rather than the left and I cut out the wiring inside the unit. It looks like it will be able to manage eight 6qt tubs. I've already gotten a proportional thermostat to use with this but I don't have heat cable just yet. I'm waiting for the $50 gift cert. from Reptastic (the admin wasn't able to get it out earlier this week but it's supposed to be in the mail as of today) before I buy anything more for this. _________________

Sandy if you want, I have a few scrap pieces of 4" Flex watt left over from where i built my rack... IF you want you can have them and see if they will heat the fridge up to required temps. I have around 3 or 4 pieces that are 1-2 feet long.

Cool that sounds great, Eric. I'm not sure I understand how to wire them, though. When I've bought the stuff in the past I had them put the clips and wiring on them. _________________

Finally! PetSmart messed up my order and had to re-ship to me. I finally got all of my stuff today. And I got a digital thermometer/magnet cleaner for my new reef tank, too. _________________

I've got the heat cable hooked up to the thermostat and it seems to holding heat well. I think the little thermometer I've got on the outside is faulty, though. It's supposed to be able to read air and water temps but its probe is registering 77F today. When you open the incubator, it's definitely more than 77F. I'm going to scrounge around for my old thermometer and get a more accurate reading later today. I need to get some bottles of water in there as well to help retain heat whenever the door is opened. I had some bottles for that but somebody threw them away without thinking. _________________

Okay, I'm certain this thermometer is screwy. I just used my digital thermometer/hygrometer in there and it's reading a steady 89F. * Correction... It has two settings and I wasn't aware of the switch. There's one for air and one for water. It was set to air and giving me the wrong temp inside the incubator. I switched it to water and it's giving me the same reading as the thermometer inside now. Yay! _________________

Nope... Two of my girls are making me wait for something/anything to happen. One of them has definitely ovulated so I'm patiently waiting for her to go into a new shed cycle and then start a count down for a lay date... the other one is just being frustrating. I thought she had already ovulated but now think perhaps that she was just building when I saw that bulge and she was still locking up as of a couple nights ago so I guess I've just got to keep waiting on her. My het pieds are still locking on a regular basis but I'm not feeling any follicles and the female is still happy to chow down on rats. Henna is still locking with Cybin but it's the same story with her - no follicles and still eating. When do you want Cybin back, by the way? I'm happy to let him keep locking up with Henna but if you need or want him back now I completely understand. _________________

Well, he's still happy doing his thing over here so I don't mind keeping him at all. If you want me to see about getting Lucy to take rats I'm happy to do so. Just give me a little time to get some more rats. I need to get back in touch with Suzie. _________________

Ben Siegel has been running a bunch of Facebook auctions for various items and animals in his store. I did see at least one thermostat go about a week ago. Maybe he'll run another one and you could try to win it? _________________
